Re: The demise of smooth jazz as a format becasue of PPM
KTWV The Wave was hit hard by the ppm. That’s the reason KTWV is now a rhythmic AC and playing more R&B currents and old school. I’m really enjoying the new sound of The Wave.

Re: What Would Your Ideal Urban AC Play?
All these songs that I've posted above had great spins on 102.3 KJLH including Remy Shand's Take A Message.
I first heard Remy Shand Take A Message on 102.3 KJLH in February 2002 one afternoon when Lon McQ was working the 2:00pm-6:00pm and Cliff Winston was PD. It was fits Urban AC radio.

Who is better on KJLH Steve Harvey or Cliff Winston?
I think that Cliff Winston was way more serious about being a morning man. Steve Harvey's antics are hurting KJLH's reputation as a community station. Think about it when we had Cliff Winston as PD, KJLH was at it's all time high. Steve Harvey plays too dog on much. KJLH IMO is unfocused now they pl...

Re: Keyshia Cole's Take Me Away
I totally agree with you. I love Keyshia and Nikki. I see what she was trying to do. However, that was not a good collaboration at all. I remember watching it and saying to myself "What was that?" I did not see the purpose it totally through me off. I know she announced on Twitter that she has new ...

Ruff Endz No More 5. Ja Rule Always On Time 6. Snoop Dogg Midnight Love 7. Sylk-E. Fyne Romeo & Juliet 8. Ghost Tow...

Re: Keyshia Cole's Take Me Away
I personally think that "Take Me Away" should've been released as the first single off of "Calling All Hearts" instead of "I Ain't Thru". I wasn't feeling Nicki Minaj at all. "Take Me Away" is showing the more cheerful side of Keyshia. What are your thoughts? Stations such as KJLH in Los Angeles is ...

Re: Can Kanye bounce back?
Same here. I can't stand his new songs. The only good songs on his new album is Runaway ft Pusha Twildcountry wrote:I can't stand Kanye and his self-centered attitude. Its an embarrassment that we come from the same city.

Is Power 106 in Los Angeles still Hip Hop & R&B
Power 106 doesn't sound urban like it did back in the day. Their slogan is called "Where Hip Hop Lives" which kind of throws us off. I know that they've always been Rhythmic but played enough urban hits to compete with KKBT " The Beat ". They've always focused Hispanic listeners.
