I've heard the Bloomington, Illinois management referred to as "Clownsquare Media." Also VERY bad reviews in Michigan. No, I don't think Townsquare is very good.

A friend of mine just got laid off by them in Albany. So I guess they're about like everyone else.

I was laid off from Townsquare. I was part time and only worked 6 hours a week. They blamed the epidemic but really its just to save a buck. Ive been in radio and a mobile DJ for over 30 years. I've watched corporate radio cut jobs to the bone and add work to those who are left. No joy left in radio..

The Talent that has been "Let Go" has absolutely destroyed radio. When I began in 1981 Radio was on fire and relevant. In 2022 Radio is homogeneous.

"I've watched corporate radio cut jobs to the bone and add work to those who are left. No joy left in radio"...

its been 4 years since I've been in a brick and mortar building, 5 since it was a full time job. Its sterile, homogenous, and the people who used to be relegated to the back to count the beans are now empowered and front and center making lives miserable for everyone involved. Its what happens when you turn what should be an art form into an ATM machine

As far as working for Townsquare, I compare it to the old Cox Media Group when Bob Neil was running things. Buttoned up, a
bit of micromanaging, but as solid a group out there as there is

Run fast in the opposite direction! You’ll thank yourself for doing so.
